Therapy for ADHD

ADHD Therapy in Atlanta and Online Across Georgia

Support for Pre-Teens, Teens, and Adults Living with ADHD

ADHD is more than trouble with focus or impulsivity. While many people think of ADHD as a challenge with attention, it also deeply affects how you relate to others, how you manage your emotions, and how you see yourself. In therapy, we look beyond the surface symptoms and explore the full picture of how ADHD shows up in your daily life.

I work with pre-teens, teens, and adults who have ADHD — whether recently diagnosed or managing it for years — to help them better understand their brains, develop tools that work for them, and build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with themselves.

A Holistic, Compassionate Approach to ADHD Therapy

In our work together, we go beyond symptom management. Therapy can be a place to explore how ADHD has shaped your self-image and your relationships over time and to start creating new patterns that feel more aligned with who you are.

My approach to ADHD therapy includes:

  • Identifying patterns of emotional reactivity and working toward more grounded responses

  • Building executive functioning strategies that are realistic and tailored to your life

  • Improving communication and understanding in your relationships

  • Addressing self-esteem and the internalized messages that often come from years of feeling "different" or "not enough"

  • Helping you develop self-compassion and flexible tools for navigating daily life

Many of my clients are high-achieving and intelligent, but feel like their brains constantly work against them. Together, we create a therapy space that honors your strengths while also addressing the challenges that ADHD brings.

ADHD in Teens and Young Adults

ADHD in adolescence and early adulthood often goes overlooked or misunderstood. Teens and college students may be struggling with time management, motivation, or emotional outbursts — or they may appear “fine” from the outside but feel anxious, scattered, or burnt out inside.

Therapy can help young people with ADHD:

  • Learn how their brain works and why certain things feel hard

  • Manage social stressors and relationship conflicts

  • Reduce shame and increase confidence
